BUSINESSMEN ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ETHIC LAW
Businessmen who signed this protocol undertake to comply with the following principles with their approval, in order to protect nature against irresponsible use and to leave a better world for future generations, in order to protect the environment against pollution, improve public health, and prevent the natural and cultural environment from being exposed to negative effects.
They will avoid activities that will adversely affect public health, natural life, natural resources, and ecology, cause damage to the ozone layer, increase in world temperature, acid rain, and similar events.
They will not throw any pollutants into the environment, and in cases where this is not possible due to the inadequacy of the current technology, they will keep the pollutants at a minimum level.
They will make maximum efforts to ensure that human health, living and non-living environment and natural resources are not damaged due to excessive use of raw materials; They will benefit from advanced technology as much as possible in the processes of storage, evaluation, and recovery of raw materials.
They will avoid producing goods that have negative effects on the environment and will ensure that toxic and dangerous materials are not used in their production processes or that their use is reduced as much as possible.
They will indicate the possible harm that they may cause to the environment and public health on the packaging of the products.
By giving importance to recycling, they will ensure the waste of natural resources and minimization of waste.
They will prevent their unnecessary use, they will take care that their products, as well as their facilities, are efficient in terms of energy use; Thus, they will prevent the pollution of the environment and the waste of natural resources.
They will refrain from engaging in commercial relations with those who do not comply with these principles. They will also try to make their suppliers and customers adopt these principles.
At the end of each year, companies will make an inventory that determines the environmental impact of their activities and announce it to the public.
Before establishing a new facility and/or starting new production, they will conduct an environmental impact assessment of this activity.
Companies will see the protection of the environment as a part of their mission and corporate culture and will strive to ensure that their employees at all levels adopt the principles contained in this document and apply them in all areas.
Companies that sign this protocol can write the phrase "This workplace has signed the Environmental Protection Ethics Law" on their letterheads, as well as put the Kriton Curi Environmental Foundation emblem on the packaging of their products and all kinds of advertisements to indicate their sensitivity to the protection of the environment. The signatories of the protocol agree to be audited periodically by their professional organizations or by an organization they will appoint, and if they do not fulfill the stipulated conditions, they will not benefit from the right granted in this article.
