MEMBERSHIP CHARTER
Persons and organizations engaged in activities covering all areas of solid waste pollution research and control, as well as environmental sciences and environmental technology, can become members of the Turkish National Committee for Solid Waste Pollution Research and Inspection (KAKAD).
A. Membership to the National Committee can be in the following forms;
MEMBER; Persons who have completed one year in candidate membership can become members with their application and the decision of the KAKAD board of directors. Members can participate in all kinds of scientific and technological activities of KAKAD, have the right and responsibility to nominate, elect and be elected for the management, and benefit from other facilities provided by the National Committee.
CANDIDATE MEMBER; Among those who work in education and research institutions in the above-mentioned fields, those who have scientific and technological research and publications, T.C. Natural persons can be nominated by the proposal of two members and by the decision of the board of directors. Candidate members can participate in all kinds of scientific and technological activities of KAKAD. They can attend the General Assembly as a listener and benefit from other facilities provided by the National Committee. Candidate members are accepted to membership if their activities are found satisfactory in accordance with the principles of KAKAD regulation at the end of one year.
HONOR MEMBER; Persons who have contributed to the promotion, development, and implementation of the subject in Turkey in the above-mentioned areas may be granted Honorary Membership by the written proposal of two members of the board of directors and the decision of the full number of members of the board of directors with a 2/3 majority. Although honor members do not pay dues, they have the authority and responsibilities of the members.
ASSOCIATED MEMBER; T.C., one of the actual employees in the teaching and research institutions in the above-mentioned fields. Natural persons can become Associate Members upon the proposal of two members and the decision of the Board of Directors. Associate members have the authority and responsibilities of candidate members.
STUDENT MEMBER; T.C., who is studying in the above-mentioned fields, Natural persons can become student members upon the proposal of two members and the decision of the board of directors. Student members can participate in all kinds of scientific and technological activities of KAKAD and benefit from other facilities provided by the National Committee.
MEMBER RESEARCH INSTITUTION; Public institutions (Ministry, General Directorate of Environment, DPT, DSI, Iller Bank, TAEK, TUBITAK, TSEK, etc.) related to research and application in the above-mentioned fields can be admitted to membership with their applications and the decision of the board of directors. These organizations will be represented in the National Committee by one member each. The open identity of the representative member is notified in writing to the General Secretariat by the member research institution. The representative member has the authority and responsibilities of the member.
MEMBER ORGANIZATION; Other public and private organizations related to research and practice in the above-mentioned fields can be accepted to membership upon their proposal by two members and the decision of the board of directors. These organizations are represented in the National Committee by one member they will choose. The open identity of the representative member is notified to the General Secretariat in writing by the member organization. The member organization can participate in all kinds of scientific and technological activities of KADAK through its representative member and benefit from other facilities provided by the National Committee. A representative member may attend the General Assembly as a listener.
B. Withdrawal from Membership;
Membership status ceases if written notification is made to the General Secretariat that a member of any status wishes to resign from membership.
C. Dismissal from Membership;
A member or organization that does not pay the membership fee for two consecutive years or does not comply with the working bylaws may be dismissed from membership by the decision of the board of directors.
D. Dues;
Membership dues of real persons and organizations are determined by the General Assembly every year. The General Assembly may delegate this authority to the board of directors. Late fees are paid according to the newly determined figures.
